Initial Narrative     THE SOUTHBOUND V-1 CROSSED BOTH LANES OF TRAFFIC AND STRUCK THE NORTHBOUND V-2 HEAD ON. THE AREA OF IMPACT WAS OFF THE NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC LANE AND ON THE EAST IMPROVED SHOULDER. THE IMPACT PUSHED V-1 BACK ACROSS BOTH LANES OF TRAFFIC COMING TO REST FACING NORTH ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. V-2 LEFT THE IMPROVED PORTION OF THE ROADWAY AND CAME TO REST IN THE DITCH ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY.
